God, sorry. I don’t meant to be so sparse in my food posting, and it doesn’t mean that I haven’t been eating. I’ve been busy, or unmotivated one might say. I’ll try to get back on this tip though.
So, there was a Saturday a few weeks ago (maybe two Saturdays ago) when all I had to eat was two croissants, some juice, and a coffee. I was sick. Just wanted to throw that out there.
Now though, I’ve been eating at home a lot more often and I’ve got more food in my fridge. I’m less reliant on buying lunches too (and also coffee since I found this organic, fair-trade pound of coffee for $10 – what a deal!).
So back to the matter at hand: I’ve been eating quite regularly due to my school schedule, but for breakfast I had almond cereal with soy milk, a glass of orange juice, three assorted vitamins and a drop or two of oil of oregano (as has become my morning ritual). Also, I snuck in a square of spicy dark chocolate. Oh yes, and a coffee!
For lunch, I had left-over rice and beans with feta. But then I threw some curried potatoes on top. It was kind of good, but kind of regular. For an afternoon snack, I had some gross banana marshmallows and a mini Aero bar, provided – so graciously – by my teacher because that’s what I’m learning in teacher’s college: get your students to like you by giving them candy (my teacher is obese).
Finally I got home and had a tofu dessert square, flavoured like a mango. For dinner, Shaun and I made pasta with tomato sauce, pumpkins and onions. We had different pastas because Shaun is eating gluten-free now. I had cheese tortellini and added some extra cheese. Whatever.
I think I’m going to have now all-encompassing “Greek” flavour potato chips (how can a particular seasoning be representative of an entire country?) and some aloe juice!
By the way, school’s going well! I had a field trip today
